The organizers of a pseudo-investment scheme involving nearly 6 million hryvnias will stand trial in Odesa
In Odesa, members of a fraud ring who defrauded investors through fake investment projects will face trial.
This was reported by the National Police.
According to the investigation, the perpetrators created fake websites with “personal accounts” where they displayed fictitious profits. In reality, all funds were transferred to crypto wallets under their control.
The scammers targeted both Ukrainian and foreign investors, pretending to run a successful business to gain their trust.
As soon as the investment amounts grew, they cut off contact with the victims.
Law enforcement officials identified at least 8 instances of fraud. The total amount of losses exceeds 5.7 million hryvnias.
The suspects face up to 12 years in prison with confiscation of property.

Additionally, a court ordered the seizure of over 48 million hryvnias from an official at the Environmental Inspection Agency.
