Three districts of Odesa are experiencing water supply disruptions. The problems are related to an emergency power outage affecting water utility facilities. At the same time, “Infoksvodokanal” assures that water is generally being supplied to the city as usual.
Water supply disruptions are currently being experienced by residents of the former Lenseshche, Slobodka, and Nova Slobodka. According to the company, the cause was an emergency power outage at its facilities.
As a result, air entered the water supply system, affecting the pressure and stability of the water supply. “Due to an emergency power outage at the water utility’s facilities, air entered the water supply system. Our specialists are already working to regulate the network,” the company reported.
Specialists are already working to restore normal pressure in the network. However, the problem cannot be resolved quickly. “Unfortunately, it takes a long time to stabilize the pressure, so we expect the situation to improve later today,” Infoksvodokanal noted.
Water supply to all of Odesa has not been interrupted
Amid the disruptions, information began circulating on social media about alleged widespread water supply problems throughout Odesa. “Infoksvodokanal” refuted this information. “We also want to reassure Odessa residents regarding unverified information circulating on social media: water is being supplied to Odessa as usual, and the entire water utility’s infrastructure is operating in accordance with technical standards,” the company emphasized.
In other words, the problem currently affects only certain neighborhoods, not the entire city. Utility specialists continue to adjust the system. “Infoksvodokanal” expects the situation to improve within the day. This was reported by “Infoksvodokanal.”
