On March 20, Ukraine is expected to see a wide range of temperatures, from nighttime frosts to 14°C during the day

Forecasters at the Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center report that on March 20, the country will be under the influence of a low-pressure system associated with a cyclone over the Black Sea. 

This was reported by the Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center on Facebook.

Spring weather in Ukraine remains relatively stable, although cold air masses at higher altitudes are causing nighttime frosts. No precipitation is expected in most regions, but light rain mixed with wet snow is possible in some areas.

According to meteorologists’ forecasts, temperatures and precipitation will be distributed as follows:

• Precipitation: Light rain mixed with wet snow is expected at night in some areas of the Carpathians, in the east, as well as in the Poltava and Dnipropetrovsk regions. No precipitation is expected in the rest of the country.

• Air temperature: in most regions, temperatures at night will range from 3°F to 2°F below freezing; during the day, temperatures will rise to 32–46°F.

• Warmest regions: in Zakarpattia, the south, and the southeast of the country, daytime temperatures will reach +9..+14°.

• Wind: mainly northeasterly, with speeds of 5–10 m/s.

In the capital region, Friday will be dry, with partly cloudy skies and some sunny spells. In Kyiv, nighttime temperatures will hover around 0°, while daytime temperatures are expected to reach a comfortable 9–11°C. Despite a gradual drop in pressure, weather conditions will be favorable for carrying out necessary infrastructure restoration work and spring field activities in most central and western regions of Ukraine.

Today, March 19, severe winter weather prevails in the highlands of the Ukrainian Carpathians, posing significant risks to tourists. 

On March 19, cloudy weather is expected across Ukraine, with light rain in some areas and wet snow in places overnight.
