Rain, fog, and frosts as low as -3° are expected in Ukraine
Unstable weather is expected in Ukraine this weekend, with rain, fog, and night frosts in some regions. Daytime temperatures will range from 9 to 16°C, rising to 19°C in the southeast.
This is reported by the Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center.
According to forecasters, light rain is expected on April 18 in most regions, except for the west and southeast. By April 19, precipitation will intensify—moderate rain is expected in the southeastern part of the country.
Nighttime temperatures will range from 1–9°F. Meanwhile, on April 19 in the northern regions, and on April 20 in the northern, eastern, and most central regions, ground frosts of 0–3°F are forecast. In the northeast, on April 20, frosts are possible not only on the ground but also in the air.
During the day, temperatures will rise to 9–16°C, and in the southeastern regions, they will reach 19°C in some places.
Fog is also possible on Saturday night and in the morning in the northeastern and most central regions. The wind will be predominantly from the north at a speed of 5–10 m/s.
In Kyiv and the surrounding region, variable cloudiness is forecast. Light rain is possible in some areas at night and widespread during the day. In the capital, nighttime temperatures will range from 4–6°C, and daytime temperatures from 12–14°C. In the Kyiv region, nighttime temperatures are expected to be 3–8°C, and daytime temperatures 11–16°C.
Earlier, the Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center released a forecast for the second month of spring, according to which temperatures and precipitation will remain within the climatic norm.
After a cold winter, Ukrainians are looking forward to spring warmth, but April will bring not only sunshine but also weather “swings.”
