Frost, rain, and sleet are expected in Ukraine

On Saturday, April 11, cold weather will persist across Ukraine, with frost, precipitation, and wet snow in some areas. At the same time, forecasters predict a slight rise in air temperatures during the day.

This is reported by the Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center.

Cloudy weather with some sunny intervals is expected across nearly the entire country. At night in the north, northeast, and Cherkasy region, and during the day in most regions except the southwest, light rain is expected in some areas, with wet snow at night.

Fog is also possible during the night and morning hours in the southeastern regions, as well as in the Chernihiv and Sumy regions. The wind will be predominantly westerly, with speeds of 5–10 m/s.

Nighttime temperatures will range from +1 to +6 degrees, but in the western and northern regions, as well as in Vinnytsia, Cherkasy, Odesa, and Mykolaiv regions, frosts of 0–3 degrees are expected both on the ground and, in some places, in the air. During the day, temperatures will rise to +4…+9 degrees, and in the south and southeast—up to +13 degrees.

Cloudy weather with some sunny intervals is forecast for the capital. Wet snow is possible at night, and light rain during the day.

The air temperature at night will be 0–2 degrees below freezing, and during the day — +5…+7 degrees.

Forecasters are also warning of hazardous weather conditions: on the night of April 11, frosts of 0–3 degrees are expected in Kyiv and the surrounding region (Level II hazard, orange).

“Frosts will damage early-blooming fruit trees,” noted the Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center.

Earlier, the Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center released a forecast for the second month of spring, according to which temperatures and precipitation will remain within the climatic norm.
