The High Qualification Commission has extended the term of office of the former head of the Khmelnytskyi Medical and Social Examination Commission, Krupa
An investigating judge of the High Anti-Corruption Court granted the motion filed by a prosecutor from the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office (SAPO) and extended the term of the procedural obligations imposed on Tetiana Krupa, the former head of the Khmelnytskyi Regional Medical and Social Examination Commission.
It is noted that the suspect is required to notify the investigator, prosecutor, or court of any change in her place of residence and to surrender her passport for travel abroad, as well as other documents granting the right to leave and enter Ukraine, other than her Ukrainian passport.
The term of these obligations has been extended through August 10, 2026.
As reported, in early October 2024, as part of a criminal investigation into the illegal issuance of disability status to men attempting to evade mobilization, SBI officers conducted searches in the offices and at the residence of Tetiana Krupa and her close relatives.
In the office of the MSEC head, $100,000, forged medical documents, and lists of draft dodgers with surnames and fictitious diagnoses were discovered. At the official’s home and those of her relatives, $5.2 million, €300,000, over ₴5 million, and brand-name jewelry and valuables were seized.
The Office of the Prosecutor General transferred the case regarding Tetyana Krupa, head of the Khmelnytskyi Regional MSEC, from the State Bureau of Investigation (DBR) to the National Anti-Corruption Bureau (NABU) for further investigation based on jurisdiction.
On October 22, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy chaired a meeting of the National Security and Defense Council regarding the situation with medical and social expert commissions and abuses by officials of various state agencies in the issuance of disability status. The discussion focused on numerous violations and apparently fraudulent disability claims by officials.
