In Kyiv, the curfew will remain unchanged on Easter—from midnight to 5:00 a.m.—despite the fact that some churches are planning nighttime services.
This was reported by the capital’s police.
According to law enforcement officials, most churches will hold services in the evening or in the morning, but some churches will remain open throughout the night.
The police advise checking the service schedule in advance and planning visits so as not to violate the restrictions.
“Either arrive home before the curfew begins, or remain inside the church during curfew hours,” the department explained.
Law enforcement officials emphasize that they are understanding of situations where people are forced to leave churches at night, but urge everyone to plan responsibly.
In total, services will be held in approximately 160 churches in Kyiv. Law enforcement officers will be on duty at the sites, and additional checks are possible.
On April 12, St. Sophia Cathedral in Kyiv will host an Easter celebration featuring interactive activities and an introduction to folk traditions.
