VIDEO: Five orphaned hedgehog cubs rescued after an attack in Dnipro
After the Russian strike on Dnipro, a nest of newborn hedgehog cubs was found amid the rubble. Their mother was killed in the attack, but the five cubs miraculously survived.
This was reported by Nadiya Lyshtva, head of the Dnipro Department of Cultural Heritage Protection.
A city council employee took two males and three females under her care. Additionally, employees of the municipal enterprise “Electrotransport” found another small hedgehog, which is also being cared for by concerned residents.
The animals are currently safe. They are being fed diluted cat food, and the little ones are actively regaining their strength. According to experts, the appearance of foam around the mouth during feeding is a normal reaction of hedgehogs to new food.
