The National Agency for Corruption Prevention has completed a full audit of the 2024 financial disclosure statement of Viktor Zazulinsky, deputy head of one of the divisions of the Economic Security Bureau.
During the audit, undeclared income of over 1.9 million hryvnias was discovered, as well as cash whose origin the official was unable to verify.
According to the NACP, the declaration also listed 533,000 euros in cash. The official explained that he had inherited these funds after his father’s death, having found them in a bank safe deposit box. At the same time, the agency reported that an analysis of the father’s income did not confirm the possibility of accumulating such a sum, and the documents did not contain a detailed description of the safe’s contents.
In addition, the NACP identified inaccuracies regarding the official’s position, real estate, and corporate rights, as well as a lack of information about real estate in France used by the official’s family members. The audit materials were forwarded to law enforcement agencies, and the State Bureau of Investigation (DBR) is conducting a pre-trial investigation.
The NACP noted that the official’s actions appear to constitute a criminal offense under the provision regarding the declaration of false information.
