Video: A Tesla drove down a flooded street in Ternopil after a heavy downpour
On July 19 in Ternopil, following a heavy downpour, a Tesla electric car drove down a flooded street where many other vehicles did not dare to continue. The video quickly went viral on social media and sparked lively discussion among users.
According to local media reports, the incident occurred on Zluky Street—one of the city’s most problematic areas, which regularly floods after heavy rainfall. The released footage shows the Tesla almost completely submerged in water, yet it continues moving and drives out of the flooded area on its own.
It is noted that at that time, many other vehicles, including SUVs, decided not to take the risk and waited for the water level to drop.
The video sparked a lively discussion on social media. Some users criticized the driver’s decision, believing he had put the car at serious risk. Others, on the contrary, highlighted the electric vehicle’s off-road capability and the fact that there was no risk of water hammer to the electric motor.
