Ten people died in Ukraine's bodies of water over the past 24 hours
Over the past 24 hours, 10 people, including two children, have died in bodies of water across Ukraine. The State Emergency Service of Ukraine reported these tragic incidents and urged citizens to be especially careful when spending time near the water.
According to the State Emergency Service, the accidents occurred in several regions of the country at once. Tragedies were recorded in the Mykolaiv, Cherkasy, Sumy, Kharkiv, Rivne, and Poltava regions, as well as in Kyiv. The most heartbreaking part of these statistics was the death of two children. The youngest child was only two years old. The State Emergency Service emphasizes that such incidents prove once again that even a few seconds of unsupervised time can lead to an irreparable tragedy.
Rescuers urge adults not to leave children unattended near rivers, lakes, ponds, or other bodies of water, even for a short time.
