Video: A single father was taken to the TCC in Kryvyi Rih
In Kryvyi Rih, Dnipropetrovsk Oblast, an incident occurred involving a 34-year-old man who is raising his 5-year-old daughter on his own. He was taken to the TCC and SP while his child was at preschool, where she remained temporarily under the supervision of the principal.
Law enforcement officials, including representatives from the juvenile prevention unit, arrived at the TCC building, and journalists remained at the scene for over four hours.
According to court records, the girl’s mother, by court order, has relinquished custody but pays child support, and the child officially resides with her father. According to journalists, the man had previously been wanted by the police and had twice applied for a deferral, which was denied (presumably because the court ruling lacked a clear formulation regarding “sole custody”).
Upon learning of the father’s arrest, Natalia Yevtushenko, the director of Kindergarten No. 125, took the girl, called a taxi, and went to the TCC to report that the child had been left unattended. Since law enforcement officers and representatives of the military registration and enlistment office did not make an immediate decision regarding the father’s return, the director reported the situation to the police and took the child to her own home.
