Video: Ursula von der Leyen Arrives in Kyiv on the Fourth Anniversary of the Full-Scale War
On February 24, the President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, arrived in Kyiv. In the capital, she is set to reaffirm the unwavering solidarity of the European Union with the Ukrainian people.
Von der Leyen shared the news on X.
The head of the European Commission arrived in Kyiv by train in the morning. Her visit is timed to mark the fourth anniversary of the start of Russia’s full-scale invasion.
“My tenth visit to Kyiv falls on a tragic date, but I am here to say: we will stand with Ukraine for as long as it takes. Our support — financial, military, and political — will only grow stronger,” she said upon arrival.
She is expected to meet with President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy. The parties plan to discuss accelerating arms deliveries and implementing the 20th package of sanctions against Russia.
