Witkoff and Kushner's visit to Kyiv on Independence Day has not yet been confirmed
The visit of U.S. President’s Special Envoys Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner to Kyiv on Ukraine’s Independence Day has not yet been confirmed.
According to a U.S. official at the White House, the trip by U.S. representatives was indeed discussed, but no final decision has been made yet.
It was previously reported that Witkoff and Kushner might visit Kyiv in the second half of August and take part in events marking the 35th anniversary of Ukraine’s independence.
Ukrainian Ambassador to the U.S. Olga Stefanishyna also confirmed that the possible visit by U.S. officials was discussed during the meeting between Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Donald Trump at the White House. However, a specific date for the trip has not been agreed upon.
