The Planeta Plastik plant in Irpin has suspended operations due to attacks by the Russian Federation
The “Planeta Plastic” plant in Irpin, Kyiv Oblast, has suspended production indefinitely due to the deteriorating security situation in the region. At the start of the full-scale invasion, the facility had already been completely destroyed by Russian occupiers. After resuming operations, the plant has once again been forced to suspend operations due to new security risks.
Production was halted amid intensified airstrikes on the Kyiv region in recent days. It is noted that the restrictions will remain in place until the situation stabilizes.
No specific timeline for resuming operations has been announced at this time. The company has also not yet disclosed details regarding financial losses or the impact of this decision on employees.

"Planeta Plastik" is one of Ukraine’s leading manufacturers of polymer products. The company produces:
agricultural films;
grain storage bags;
polyethylene pipes.
At the start of the full-scale invasion in 2022, the facility in Irpin was completely destroyed. The company subsequently rebuilt a new production facility, which opened in September 2025.
The renovated plant is designed to produce over 17,000 km of pipes per year to meet the needs of water supply, gasification, and export.
According to data from the YouControl analytics system, in 2025, the revenue of Planeta Plastik LLC, owned by Mykola Vashchenko, amounted to 534.2 million UAH, and the company ended the year with a loss of 22.3 million UAH.
