Zelenskyy dismissed Kamyshin from his position as his adviser
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy signed a decree relieving Oleksandr Kamyshin of his duties as special adviser to the head of state on strategic issues.
The former adviser confirmed that he had completed his work in this position and thanked the president for his trust. According to him, over the past two years, Ukraine’s defense industry has become a strategic sector within the country and has begun integrating into the defense-industrial architecture of Europe and the United States.
Kamyshin noted that he will continue to work in the defense sector, focusing on attracting investment in Ukrainian military technology and developing international partnerships.

On September 4, 2024, the Rada approved the dismissal of Oleksandr Kamyshin from the post of Minister for Strategic Industrial Sectors of Ukraine.
In 2023, the Verkhovna Rada appointed Oleksandr Kamyshin, chairman of the board of Ukrzaliznytsia, as Minister of Strategic Industries.
