Zelenskyy announced a special meeting involving weapons manufacturers and commanders
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced the preparation of a special meeting of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief’s Headquarters, which will include corps commanders and the main manufacturers of weapons and equipment needed at the front.
Prior to this, the head of state heard reports from the heads of various military units, including Robert Brovdi, commander of the Ukrainian Armed Forces’ Unmanned Systems Forces; Denis Prokopenko, commander of the 1st Corps of the National Guard of Ukraine “Azov”; Ihor Obolensky, commander of the 2nd Corps of the National Guard of Ukraine “Charter”; Andriy Tkachuk, deputy commander of the Airborne Forces; and Valerii Skred, acting commander of the 19th Army Corps of the “South” Operational Command.
The commanders briefed the president on the current situation at the front, the destruction of occupying forces, and key aspects of supplying the units. The conversation focused primarily on the need for a larger-scale supply of drones capable of operating at operational depth, and they also discussed issues related to the production and delivery of fiber-optic-equipped drones to the front lines. At the same time, they noted the effectiveness of the program for the equitable distribution of personnel among combat brigades, which has been in effect since last December and will be continued, and they plan to scale up the “Charter” initiative’s experience in recruiting foreign volunteers to other units. Separately, following a discussion with “Azov” commander Denys Prokopenko, the president promised to issue appropriate instructions to intensify prisoner exchange efforts.
