Zelenskyy has agreed to a defense partnership with yet another enemy of Iran
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy held a strategically important meeting with King Abdullah II of Jordan, focusing on strengthening their security partnership.
The main topic of the talks was the coordination of efforts to counter modern air threats, which have become a common challenge for both regions.
The Head of State emphasized that effective defense against combined strikes requires an integrated approach and the exchange of combat experience.
Ukraine, which faces massive attacks on a daily basis, is ready to share its proven methods for destroying enemy targets with partners in the Middle East.
“Ukraine is open to cooperation to defend against drone and missile strikes. From our own experience, we know that without a unified system, it is simply impossible to establish full-fledged protection for people and critical infrastructure,” Volodymyr Zelenskyy emphasized following the meeting.
The parties paid particular attention to countering Iranian-made drones, which Russia is actively using against Ukrainian cities.
The President noted that the Ukrainian military possesses unique expertise and a battle-tested system for combating such types of weapons.
At the same time, the Ukrainian leader emphasized the need for a bilateral cooperation framework, where each side contributes to strengthening the partner’s defense capabilities.
Mutual assistance should become the foundation for creating a new security architecture capable of countering global threats.
“And it is very important that those to whom we offer our expertise can also help us become stronger,” the Head of State noted.
He also expressed sincere gratitude to King Abdullah II for his willingness to engage in open dialogue and his understanding of the complexity of the challenges facing Ukraine.
As a reminder, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced that during his visit to the Middle East, he reached an agreement on the supply of diesel fuel to Ukraine for at least one year.
Zelenskyy also signed an agreement with Qatar on missile defense.
