Zelenskyy Reaches Agreement with Dutch Prime Minister to Strengthen Ukraine's Air Defense
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy held talks with Dutch Prime Minister Rob Jetten. During the conversation, the parties discussed Ukraine’s preparations for the winter, the strengthening of its air defense system, and continued support from the Netherlands.
The leaders also focused on the need to strengthen the protection of Ukraine’s energy infrastructure and to continue military assistance to counter Russian aggression.
During the conversation, the president briefed the Dutch prime minister on the latest Russian attacks on Ukrainian cities and communities.
According to Zelenskyy, the two leaders discussed how the Netherlands can help Ukraine right now, as well as in preparation for the heating season.
“In fact, the Russians are striking our people almost every day and spare no effort in using ballistic missiles to destroy lives. Missiles for air defense are our top priority,” the president emphasized.
They discussed diplomacy and EU accession
Separately, the parties exchanged views on diplomatic efforts to support Ukraine, specifically discussing the meetings that took place in Washington last week.
Zelenskyy and Jetten also focused on Ukraine’s European integration. They discussed efforts to open four more negotiation clusters and Ukraine’s continued progress toward European Union membership.
