Zelenskyy signed a law on visa-free travel for industrial workers with the European Union
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has officially signed into law a bill that brings Ukraine’s system for accrediting conformity assessment bodies into full compliance with European Union standards.
This step is strategically important for preparing to conclude an agreement on the mutual recognition of industrial product certification, which will allow Ukrainian goods to enter the European market without hindrance.
According to information on the parliament’s website, the document aims to fundamentally strengthen confidence in national certification bodies.
Thanks to the implementation of European standards, Ukrainian manufacturers will be able to confirm the quality of their products through procedures that are automatically recognized in EU member states.
The adoption of the law effectively paves the way for so-called “industrial visa-free travel,” which will remove unnecessary bureaucratic barriers for exporters.
This will allow Ukrainian companies to significantly expand their presence in the European domestic market and integrate into global supply chains.
The new rules will also have a positive impact on the safety of industrial goods sold in Ukraine.
Manufacturing products to high EU standards guarantees Ukrainian consumers better quality and greater reliability of goods, regardless of their place of origin.
“The law is a step toward concluding an agreement on the mutual recognition of conformity assessment results for industrial products between Ukraine and the European Union and Ukraine’s further integration into the EU internal market,” the analytical materials accompanying the draft law emphasize.
In addition to regulatory benefits, a significant economic impact is expected in the form of new job creation in the manufacturing sector.
Simplifying export procedures will stimulate business development, which in the long term will lead to increased incomes for citizens and the overall strengthening of the national economy.
