The High Anti-Corruption Court has set bail of over 10 million hryvnias for another defendant in the Mindich case

The High Anti-Corruption Court has imposed a preventive measure on Hennadiy Opalchuk in the form of bail set at 10,649,000 UAH. The National Anti-Corruption Bureau (NABU) and the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office (SAPO) accuse Opalchuk of money laundering in a case related to the “Dynasty” housing and construction cooperative; however, he denies any ties to businessman Timur Mindich.

This was reported by Suspilne.

The suspect is required to pay the bail within five days, surrender his passport, and not leave Kyiv without permission from investigators. The defendant’s lawyer has already stated that his client does not possess such a sum, so the defense plans to “raise funds” to comply with the court’s decision. Opalchuk insists on his innocence and claims he had no contact with the individuals whom the investigation considers to be the organizers of the scheme. Currently, law enforcement officials continue to gather evidence regarding the illegal transfer of assets and their subsequent legalization through construction projects.

The preventive measure also requires mandatory appearance in court and before investigative authorities upon the first summons. If the bail is not posted within the established time limit, prosecutors may apply to the High Anti-Corruption Court with a motion to change the measure to a more severe one—detention. The investigation into the case is ongoing.

The High Anti-Corruption Court partially upheld the motion by the SAPO prosecutor and imposed a pre-trial measure on Andriy Yermak in the form of 60 days of pretrial detention, setting his bail at 140 million hryvnias.

As a reminder, the lawyer for Andriy Yermak, the former head of the President’s Office, stated that NABU detectives conducted searches of his apartment three times.

It is also known that Yermak discussed the heads of NABU and the SAPO with a “fortune teller,” although he later said he had no connection to fortune tellers.
