On June 8, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy held a telephone conversation with U.S. President Joe Biden’s Special Representative Steve Witkoff and the American leader’s son-in-law, Jared Kushner. During the conversation, the parties discussed current issues of bilateral cooperation. According to preliminary information, Witkoff and Kushner may visit Ukraine in the near future.
According to Ravid, he was informed about Zelenskyy’s conversation with Witkoff and Kushner by an unnamed source.
No further details about the conversation are available at this time.

Dmytro Lytvyn, an adviser to the President of Ukraine, told reporters that Zelenskyy spoke with Witkoff and Kushner during a technical stopover at the Chisinau airport.
He also did not disclose any details of the conversation.
It is worth noting that peace talks between Ukraine and Russia have been taking place since last year with U.S. mediation.
On the American side, U.S. President’s Special Representative Steve Witkoff and the American leader’s son-in-law, Jared Kushner, are actively participating in the peace process.
Witkoff and Kushner have already visited Moscow on multiple occasions, where they met with Russian dictator Vladimir Putin.

Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov stated that Moscow is allegedly ready for negotiations to end the war against Ukraine, but sees no willingness for dialogue on the Ukrainian side.
Putin is not changing course and continues to finance the war.
