Zelenskyy has arrived in Cyprus on a visit; what is the purpose?
On April 23, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy arrived in Cyprus to attend a special meeting of EU leaders. He is also expected to meet with European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen.
This was announced by the head of state’s press secretary, Serhiy Nikiforov.
Specifically, Zelenskyy is scheduled to hold talks with Lithuanian President Gitanas Nausėda and Danish Acting Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen, as well as a trilateral meeting with European Council President António Costa and European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen.
In addition, the head of state will participate in the meeting and deliver a speech. Additional brief pull-aside meetings may also take place on the sidelines of the event.
