Zelenskyy awarded the title of Hero of Ukraine to six servicemen
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has awarded the title of Hero of Ukraine to six servicemen. Five of these defenders were posthumously awarded the country’s highest state honor for their courage and self-sacrifice in the fight for the nation’s independence.
According to Decree No. 472/2026 published on the President’s website, the title of Hero of Ukraine, along with the Order of the Golden Star, was awarded to Captain Pavlo Streluk (posthumously).
Pursuant to Decree No. 473/2026, the title of Hero of Ukraine with the Order of the “Golden Star” was posthumously awarded to Private Dmytro Yegizarov.
In addition, by Decree No. 474/2026, the title of Hero of Ukraine with the Order of the Golden Star was posthumously awarded to Captain Nazar Samchuk.
Pursuant to Decree No. 475/2026, the title of Hero of Ukraine, along with the Order of the Golden Star, was posthumously awarded to Colonel Valentyn Korenchuk.
By Decree No. 476/2026, the President awarded the title of Hero of Ukraine, along with the Order of the Golden Star, to Junior Sergeant Vasyl Kuts.
By Decree No. 477/2026, the title of Hero of Ukraine, along with the Order of the Golden Star, was posthumously awarded to Senior Lieutenant Pylyp Slobodeniuk.
