Zelenskyy chaired a meeting of the High Command, where they discussed air defense and defense production
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy chaired a meeting of the High Command, during which the main focus was on air defense issues. The meeting also addressed the development of defense production and the strengthening of the country’s defense capabilities.
He mentioned this in his evening address.
"I also chaired a meeting of the High Command today—primarily on air defense. We thoroughly reviewed the situation regarding contract fulfillment and the procurement of everything necessary. This applies not only to countering ballistic missiles but also to frontline air defense, anti-drone missiles, and interceptors. Everything will be provided," the President said.
He noted that Ukrainian defense production must reach a level where all necessary components of air defense systems, including anti-ballistic ones, will be manufactured in Ukraine.
"We are working on this with several countries—it is still too early to disclose the details. But what is most important is that we have the licenses, we have local production, and we have the results here in Ukraine. This is a global goal, and we continue to work toward it," the head of state added.
Zelenskyy: Russiais ready to sacrifice a million lives for Donbas.
Russia is selecting new targets for attacks on Ukraine’s infrastructure, says Zelenskyy.
On March 25, the Russian army carried out 1,837 attacks on settlements in the Donetsk region, using aerial bombs, drones, and artillery.
As a reminder, a restaurant in Kharkiv was attacked by a Shahed drone; one person was injured.
Russian drones also attacked a high-rise building in Dnipro.
