Zelenskyy spoke about his plans after his presidency ends
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that after the war ends and his term as head of state concludes, he hopes to continue living in Ukraine and be able to walk freely through its streets.
He shared this in an interview with Emma Tucker, editor-in-chief of The Wall Street Journal. The head of state emphasized that he is trying to do his job in such a way that, once his term ends, people will not harbor hatred toward him.
“It’s not even about people respecting you. It’s about being able to continue living in your country after the war and after this presidential term, walking the streets, and having no one want to kill you or hate you,” Volodymyr Zelenskyy noted.
The president emphasized that, for him, what matters most is how a person behaves in office and the decisions they make every day. He also added that he isn’t sure how well he’s coping with stress after years of full-scale war, but he’s trying to live for the sake of the positive people around him.
