Zelenskyy has commented for the first time on the Nord Stream pipeline sabotage case
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy commented on the charges brought against a Ukrainian national in Germany in connection with the bombing of the “Nord Stream” gas pipelines, stating that Kyiv has not yet received any official information.
During a joint press conference with Irish Prime Minister Micheál Martin, Zelenskyy noted that it is too early to draw conclusions, as the Ukrainian side has not yet reviewed all the case materials.
“We do not know all the details of this process at this time. We have not officially received all the information. It is too early to discuss this,” the president said.
According to him, Ukraine will provide an assessment after the competent authorities of the two countries exchange the necessary information.
Earlier, the German Federal Prosecutor’s Office officially charged Ukrainian citizen Serhiy Kuznetsov. According to investigators, he was a member of a group that planted explosives on the “Nord Stream” gas pipelines near the island of Bornholm. Kuznetsov himself denies any involvement in the sabotage.
