Zheleznyak named the likely lineup of the new government headed by Koretsky
Ukrainian People's Deputy Yaroslav Zheleznyak has revealed the likely composition of the new Cabinet of Ministers, which may be headed by Serhiy Koretskyi. However, a final decision on some of the candidates has not yet been made.
According to Zheleznyak, the following officials may retain their posts: First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Energy Denys Shmyhal, Deputy Prime Minister for Culture Tetiana Berezhna, Finance Minister Serhiy Marchenko, Health Minister Viktor Lyashko, Minister of Youth and Sports Matviy Bidny, and Foreign Minister Andriy Sibiga may retain their posts.
Among possible personnel changes, the lawmaker mentioned the appointment of Denys Ulyutin or Daryna Marchak to the post of Minister of Social Policy. According to him, the Ministry of Veterans and Internally Displaced Persons could be headed by Vitaliy Kim, head of the Mykolaiv Regional State Administration, replacing Natalia Kalmykova.
Also, according to Zheleznyak, Minister of Education and Science Oksen Lisovyi may be dismissed, and Andriy Butenko could take his place.
In addition, the lawmaker reported on possible changes in the European integration bloc, the Ministry of Justice, and the Ministry of Digital Transformation, as well as the reorganization of certain agencies. Specifically, the Ministry of Economy, Environment, and Agriculture may be split into two separate ministries, and the Ministry of Community, Territorial, and Infrastructure Development may be divided into the Ministry of Regional Development and the Ministry of Infrastructure.
According to Zheleznyak, the position of defense minister remains a source of speculation. He noted that a decision on the possible appointment of Mykhailo Fedorov is expected after 6:00 p.m.
At the same time, the lawmaker emphasized that this information is preliminary, and the final composition of the new government may still change.
Zheleznyak announced this on July 15 via Telegram.
Zelenskyy stated that he has not yet made a decision regarding Fedorov’s future in the government.
