Azov fighters capture 18 occupiers in one day
Fighters of the International Battalion of the 12th Azov Brigade captured 18 Russian soldiers in a single day during combat operations in the Donetsk region.
This was reported by the 12th Azov Brigade.
The captives were taken during a clearance operation in the settlement of Zolotyi Kolodiaz, on the Dobropillia axis.
One of the captured Russian soldiers said he had spent four months at his position without any communication. According to Ukrainian fighters, the Russian troops were shocked that they were not executed but were instead allowed to smoke and taken prisoner.
Russian forces continue to use the tactic of so-called “blocking detachments,” killing their own soldiers for attempting to save their lives and withdraw from combat.
In Kupiansk, in the Kharkiv region, a small remaining group of Russian troops is still holding defensive positions in one of the neighborhoods near the city center.
