A drone exploded near the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant: one person was killed and 15 were injured
On August 18, a drone exploded near a bus stop used by employees of the occupied Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant. According to the IAEA, one person was killed and 15 others were injured; three of them are in serious condition. Among the victims are employees of the plant and contractors.

The occupying authorities at the facility called the incident “the worst incident” since the plant was occupied, while the IAEA emphasized that attacks on civilian personnel and nuclear facilities are unacceptable.
“I call on the military commanders responsible for these actions, as well as all others who target nuclear power plants and/or their personnel, to immediately cease these unacceptable actions, which are completely contrary to all principles and pose major risks to nuclear and physical security during the conflict,” said IAEA Director General Rafael Grossi.
Earlier, a Russian drone attacked a truck carrying bread near Zaporizhzhia.
