Russia launched a drone strike on Balakliya; a family with a 9-year-old child was injured
In Balakliya, Kharkiv Oblast, three members of the same family were injured as a result of a Russian drone strike. According to preliminary reports, Russian forces used a “Geran-2” UAV.
Residential buildings were damaged as a result of the strike.
A 38-year-old man was injured, sustaining shrapnel wounds to his lower limbs.
His 31-year-old wife and 9-year-old son suffered acute stress reactions.
The Kharkiv Regional Prosecutor’s Office reported on the consequences of the attack.
A pre-trial investigation has been launched into the Russian strike under Part 1 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine—violation of the laws and customs of war.
The attack on Balakliya occurred during a large-scale Russian airstrike on Ukraine on the night of August 19. According to the Air Force, Russian forces deployed 65 attack drones and two ballistic missiles.
As a result of the strike on Balakliya, a family was injured—the father sustained shrapnel wounds, while the mother and child experienced acute stress reaction.

On August 18, the Russian army killed one resident of the Donetsk region and wounded four others.
As a result of the Russian attack on August 18, the premises of the “Kyivguma” factory in Brovary, Kyiv Oblast, sustained damage. No employees were injured, and the damage, according to preliminary estimates, is not critical.
On the evening of August 18 and overnight on August 19, Russian troops attacked the Nikopol and Kryvyi Rih districts of Dnipropetrovsk Oblast more than 10 times with drones and artillery. As a result of the shelling, an administrative building, a private home, and other civilian facilities were damaged, and a fire broke out. According to preliminary data, there were no fatalities or injuries.
Earlier, a Russian drone attacked a car carrying bread near Zaporizhzhia.
