Diana, a combat medic, evacuated 16 wounded people from the line of fire in a single day
A combat medic with the call sign “Scorpion” evacuated 16 wounded soldiers in a single day in the Mariupol sector and survived after her medical transport vehicle was hit. For her personal courage and heroism, she was awarded the Order “For Courage,” 3rd Class.
She has served in the Armed Forces of Ukraine since 2020, and after the start of the full-scale invasion, she carried out missions on the front lines for nine months, where she was repeatedly caught in shelling along with the evacuation vehicles.
On one occasion, she survived by exiting the medical “Hummer” just minutes before a shell struck it. Currently, the medic is serving at the 143rd Combined Training Center “Podillia” and is involved in training military personnel.
The Ukrainian Armed Forces Support Command reported on the soldier’s combat history.
Russian troops attacked the Zaporizhzhia region with FPV drones. A 34-year-old man was killed in the strikes, and another person was injured.
