Butusov reported a critical situation on many sections of the front
Yuriy Butusov, commander of the UAV company of the 23rd Assault Regiment of the 2nd Corps of the National Guard “Charter,” stated that the situation on many sections of the front remains critical, and Russian troops continue to advance on several fronts.
According to him, the most difficult situation is unfolding near Kostiantynivka, where Russian troops are attempting to bypass the city in the direction of Druzhkivka. Fighting continues in the Oleksiyevo-Druzhkivka area, as well as on the outskirts of Druzhkivka. In addition, the enemy has already captured most of Pokrovsk, Myrnohrad, and Chasovyi Yar and is attempting to advance further.
Butusov also noted that Russian troops are a few kilometers from Sloviansk and have approached the Sloviansk Thermal Power Plant, which is of significant logistical importance. According to him, in most areas, Russia has an advantage in manpower and weaponry, and Ukrainian forces have not yet been able to completely halt the enemy’s advance.
At the same time, the commander stressed that Ukraine needs urgent, systemic changes in military command and control. He expressed hope that the new military leadership will make decisions regarding the decentralization of command, the strengthening of the corps system, and the appointment of effective commanders, which will help stabilize the situation on the front lines.
