Power outages in 8 regions due to Russian strikes — Ministry of Energy

As a result of hostilities and Russian shelling of energy infrastructure, some consumers in the Dnipropetrovsk, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, Kyiv, Odesa, Sumy, Chernihiv, and Kharkiv regions were without power as of this morning.

Emergency repair work is underway wherever the security situation allows. In addition, due to inclement weather, 11 settlements in the Poltava and Sumy regions remain without power.

On September 28, a building of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine caught fire in central Kyiv following a Russian strike. Rescue workers are on the scene extinguishing the fire and searching the building—people may still be inside.

In Brovary, Kyiv Oblast, a fire broke out at an industrial facility after debris from a downed Russian drone fell onto the premises. The fire occurred in the industrial zone. According to preliminary information, there were no casualties.

In the Solomyanskyi district of Kyiv, debris was reported to have struck an educational institution following a Russian attack. Details regarding the extent of the damage and possible casualties are being verified.
