Russian Federation's Nighttime Attack on Odesa: Infrastructure Under Attack

On the night of September 29 and into the morning, Russian troops attacked Odesa. A fire broke out at an infrastructure facility as a result of the strike.

 

Serhiy Lysak, head of the Odesa City Military Administration, reported this on Facebook.

“Overnight and this morning, the enemy attacked infrastructure. A fire broke out, which was quickly extinguished,” the head of the Military Administration noted.

According to him, work is ongoing to address the damage to a high-rise building damaged by yesterday’s strike. The blast wave shattered windows in neighboring buildings and at one of the educational institutions. Specialists are sealing the holes. Six people were injured. Two of them remain in the hospital.

City services continue to work on the ground, providing assistance to residents and addressing the aftermath of the attack, Lysak noted.

A drone strike in the Kyiv region caused a fire in several buildings; two people were rescued.

As a reminder, debris from a Russian drone caused a fire in a five-story building in Kyiv.

Following the Russian Federation’s nighttime attack on Kyiv, an educational institution was hit.
