A member of the Russian State Duma boasted about killing Ukrainians

Vitaly Milonov, a State Duma deputy from the “United Russia” party, publicly confirmed in an interview with Russian blogger Amiran Sardarov that he had killed people while participating in the war against Ukraine.

Milonov stated that he received the Order of Courage for “combat actions,” but refused to disclose details of the award due to the classified nature of the relevant decrees. When asked directly by the blogger whether he had killed people during the war, the deputy answered in the affirmative. He explained his actions by citing his service as a senior gunner on an MT-12 “Rapira” anti-tank gun, located 2–3 km from the front line. When asked if it was difficult for him to live with this, the Russian stated that he considered it a “military duty.”

In October 2022, Milonov volunteered for the front lines and served in an anti-tank artillery battery. In February 2023, he announced the end of his contract and his return to Moscow due to a ban on lawmakers staying in the combat zone for extended periods. He currently serves as deputy chairman of the Russian State Duma Committee on Family Protection, Parenting, Motherhood, and Childhood.

This was reported by Meduza.

In the Russian State Duma, Deputy Vitaly Milonov suggested that Russians have sex during internet outages to improve the demographic situation. According to him, modern technology hinders the formation of families and the birth of children, as citizens spend their time “pointlessly staring at their gadgets.”
