A Russian lawmaker accused the Anglo-Saxons of the mass slaughter of Russian livestock

Vyacheslav Vegner, a member of the Sverdlovsk Oblast Legislative Assembly representing the United Russia party, stated on local television that the mass culling of livestock in Russia is the result of insidious actions by Western countries.

According to the Russian politician, the outbreaks of pasteurellosis and rabies recorded by state authorities may be the result of the deliberate introduction of diseases by an adversary.

Vegner suggested that the uniform appearance of disease outbreaks across the country indicates sabotage. He did not rule out the possibility that drones, which are already reaching remote areas of the Russian Federation, could be used to spread infections. The deputy emphasized that he expects the “Anglo-Saxons” to resort to any underhanded tactics to weaken the state.

No evidence was provided to support the theory of foreign intelligence services’ involvement in the livestock epidemics. Despite this, the representative of the occupying authorities insists on the version of external interference as the main cause of the veterinary crisis in the regions. Currently, official Russian authorities continue to take measures to prevent the spread of animal diseases using standard methods.

Meanwhile, in the Novosibirsk region of the Russian Federation, farmers have called the culling of livestock a provocation against Putin.

As a reminder, Russian authorities destroyed livestock belonging to Siberian farmers worth nearly $20 million.
