Members of the Russian State Duma are demanding that troops be withdrawn from the area around Lyman
Lawmakers whose relatives have died in the war are drafting an unpublished appeal to Russian Defense Minister Andrei Belousov. In it, they call for the withdrawal of troops from troubled sections of the front line in order to save the lives of the occupying forces and maintain control over the units.
The appeal also specifically addresses the unprofessional conduct of General of the Army Valery Gerasimov, Chief of the General Staff of the Russian Armed Forces. The deputies also draw attention to the systematic lies perpetuated by Russian generals in order to secure yet another round of awards for “captured” settlements.
This refers to the north of Donetsk Oblast near the town of Lyman, where the Ukrainian Defense Forces are conducting Operation “Vivaldi.” It was from there that Russian deputies learned of the colossal losses among Russian troops.
Agents of the “ATESH” movement, part of the Russian Armed Forces’ “Center” military group, report a significant technical advantage held by Ukrainian units in this sector of the front. Russian military officials note the new robotic systems being deployed by the Ukrainians.
The Ukrainian Defense Forces have liberated Shandryholove and Derylove in the Donetsk region and established full control over Drobyshev. This was reported by Andriy Biletsky, commander of the Third Army Corps. According to him, this took place as part of the “Vivaldi” offensive operation.
As part of Operation “Vivaldi,” Ukrainian forces are continuing their offensive operations in the north of the Donetsk region. Over the course of the week, the Ukrainian Defense Forces made further advances, including clearing and liberating several settlements.
As a reminder, during Operation Vivaldi, ground robots were deployed behind enemy lines for the first time.
