A Russian drone struck a police car in the Chernihiv region

In Novhorod-Siverskyi, a Russian drone attacked a police vehicle while it was patrolling the city. Three law enforcement officers were injured in the attack. The Chernihiv Regional Police reported this on Telegram.

 

In the Chernihiv region, a Russian drone attacked a police vehicle. The strike occurred on the morning of May 23 in Novhorod-Siverskyi. According to preliminary information, around 11 a.m., a Russian drone struck the vehicle of law enforcement officers who were patrolling the city.

At the time of the attack, the vehicle was carrying members of the patrol police response team from the Novhorod-Siverskyi District Department. As a result of the explosion, three police officers were injured. They are receiving the necessary medical care. Information regarding their condition is currently being verified.

 

The police vehicle sustained serious damage. Police confirmed that the strike was deliberate. “Today around 11 a.m. in Novhorod-Siverskyi, Russians struck a police patrol car with a drone while officers were patrolling the city,” law enforcement officials reported.

The Novhorod-Siverskyi district is regularly targeted by Russian forces due to its proximity to the border with Russia. The Russians frequently use drones, artillery, and mortars to attack border communities in the Chernihiv region. Recently, the occupiers have been increasingly targeting civilian infrastructure, transportation, and police vehicles. Rescue workers, medical personnel, and law enforcement officers are among those targeted.

 

Local authorities and security forces are once again urging residents of border areas not to ignore warning signals and to exercise the utmost caution when moving around the city.

Specialized services are currently working at the site of the strike. Law enforcement officers are documenting the consequences of the attack and gathering evidence of yet another Russian strike on Ukraine’s civilian infrastructure.

Russian troops continue to launch massive strikes on the Kherson region. Over the past day, one person was killed in the region, and another 20 were wounded. Kherson and more than three dozen other settlements came under fire.

Over the past day, 13 civilians were injured due to Russian attacks in the Sumy region. Dozens of settlements in the region came under fire, and Russian drones attacked civilian vehicles, homes, and farms.

Russian troops continue to shell the Donetsk region. Over the past day, seven civilians were wounded in the region. Authorities emphasize that the number of war casualties in the region continues to rise almost daily. 

Mykolaiv came under attack again by Russian drones, which struck the city and the region. An administrative building was damaged in the shelling, but there were no casualties. The enemy also repeatedly attacked communities in the region with FPV drones and artillery.

The Zaporizhzhia region has endured one of the most intense attacks in recent times, as Russian troops launched hundreds of strikes on dozens of settlements. One man was killed and two others were wounded as a result of the shelling. Both frontline communities and areas further inland came under fire. 

Russian drones attacked two districts of the Dnipropetrovsk region simultaneously, damaging a high-rise building, administrative buildings, and utility structures. Despite the strikes, there were no casualties. Air defense forces destroyed some of the enemy drones in the sky over the region during the night.
