Interceptor drones are already shooting down up to 40% of Russian Shahed drones

The proportion of Russian Shahed-type kamikaze drones that are successfully destroyed using interceptor drones has risen to 40%. As noted, Ukrainian forces are increasingly using modern unmanned aerial vehicles to counter Russian air attacks. This method allows for more effective combat against enemy drones and reduces the burden on air defense systems.

This was reported by Serhiy “Flash” Beskrestnov, an expert in military radio technology and advisor to the Ukrainian Minister of Defense.

According to him, during Russia’s latest massive attack on Ukraine, interceptor drones managed to improve the rate of shooting down Russian drones.

He noted that the Russians attempted to overload air defense systems, which is why the massive attacks were launched from specific directions.

Russia used the Shahed for the first time in Africa.

In Dnipro, a Shahed droneflew into an apartment and did not explode.

In the Kharkiv region, the past 24 hours were marked by intense Russian shelling, which killed a 61-year-old woman and injured seven others, including a one-and-a-half-year-old child; strikes hit both Kharkiv and a number of settlements in the region.

Following the nighttime attack on Dnipro, rescuers recovered the bodies of two victims from the rubble of a destroyed building; however, according to preliminary data, people may still be trapped under the debris, and search operations continue. The number of casualties has risen to 21; medical personnel continue to provide assistance, and all emergency services are on the scene.
