Filatov stated that the building in Dnipro destroyed by the Russians had housed a center of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of the Moscow Patriarchate

Dnipro Mayor Boris Filatov stated that the building at 23 Shevchenko Street, which was destroyed in the strike, housed a center affiliated with the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of the Moscow Patriarchate.

He reported this on social media.

According to Filatov, the first floor of the building housed the “Lestvitsa” Center for Orthodox Culture, as well as a library and a house church dedicated to John Climacus.

“And here’s an exclusive for journalists. On the first floor of the completely destroyed building at 23 Shevchenko Street was the ‘Lestvitsa’ Center for Orthodox Culture (if you’re curious, Google it). Which belongs to… the Moscow Patriarchate. There was also a library and a house church dedicated to John Climacus. Those bastards couldn’t have been unaware of this when they fired a missile at it. … It will be very interesting to see what kind of statement the Moscow priests make regarding this matter…,” Filatov stated.

The mayor also suggested that the Russian military might have been aware of exactly where they were striking.

A man who suffered severe injuries as a result of the Russian troops’ nighttime attack on Dnipro died in the hospital.

In the Desnianskyi district of Kyiv, law enforcement officers discovered the warhead of a Russian Iskander-K missile. A controlled destruction of the munition is planned at the site.

On the night of April 15, three people were injured in Dnipro and the surrounding region as a result of Russian drone strikes, and damage to civilian infrastructure was reported.
