Fire Point confirmed an attack on the port of Ust-Luga
On August 14, the Ukrainian company Fire Point confirmed an attack on the port of Ust-Luga in Russia’s Leningrad Oblast. One of Russia’s largest oil ports on the Baltic Sea was struck by the Ukrainian Defense Forces.
“The Ukrainian Defense Forces struck the port of Ust-Luga,” Fire Point reported.
According to the source, damage and a fire were reported in the area around the port as a result of the attack. Details regarding the extent of the damage are currently being clarified.
Ust-Luga is one of Russia’s largest ports on the Baltic Sea. Significant volumes of:
- oil and petroleum products;
- coal;
- fertilizers;
- liquefied gas;
- other cargo.

As a reminder, drones once again attacked the port of Ust-Luga in the Leningrad region.
Earlier, the Russians used a Shahed drone to deliberately strike a passenger train in the Odesa region, resulting in fatalities.
The State Emergency Service and the Odesa Regional Military Administration released photos of the locomotive damaged by the Russian attack. The images show the condition of the train after the strike.
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that Russian forces struck a passenger train in the Odesa region. According to him, there were 340 passengers on board at the time of the attack, and the train engineer and his assistant were killed.
