Flash answered the question of whether Ukraine will be left without the internet following attacks by Russia

The Internet is not expected to disappear completely in Ukraine, even in the event of new Russian attacks on the network infrastructure. According to “Flash,” this should be countered by highly distributed communication channels.

 

“The Russians are attacking our information network infrastructure. But Ukraine is a country with highly distributed Internet channels, so the entire country (regions, cities) will not be left without the Internet,” wrote Serhiy Beskrestnov.

According to him, only localized outages are possible, which he hopes providers will quickly resolve.

The advisor also noted that the cost of Internet services may indeed rise—this is necessary to offset the costs of repairing damaged infrastructure.

Beskrestnov urged Ukrainians not to fall for the enemy’s disinformation campaigns.

“They’ve already been scaring us with claims that there will be no food or fuel, and now they’re scaring us with the disappearance of the internet,” he said.

Earlier, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs identified the purpose of Russia’s strike on Kyiv’s data centers.

Prior to this, internet outages occurred in Kyiv following the Russian Federation’s September 23 attack on a data center—100,000 households in Kyiv and the surrounding region were left without stable internet access.

Later, the Dim 1557 service was restored in Kyiv following the shelling of the data centers.
