Russian troops launched a series of strikes on Sumy, injuring six people, including four children. While rescue workers were clearing up the aftermath of the shelling, the occupiers attacked them again.
According to the State Emergency Service, a rocket-propelled drone struck a nine-story residential building. A fire broke out on the first floor, and rescue workers evacuated the residents of the high-rise building. Six people, including four children, were injured as a result of the strike.
Another strike caused a massive fire in a shopping center. While firefighters were battling the blaze, Russian troops launched repeated strikes on the emergency services’ operations site. One of the attacks destroyed a service vehicle, and another State Emergency Service vehicle was damaged.
In addition, Russian forces shelled the area around a residential building, where two cars caught fire. Rescuers quickly extinguished the fire.
The State Emergency Service emphasized that despite the constant threat of repeated strikes and the challenging security situation, rescue workers continue to address the consequences of Russian attacks and provide assistance to those affected.
