Russian troops attacked Zhytomyr with jet-powered drones. One of the strikes hit the building of the National Police Headquarters in Zhytomyr Oblast.

Rescue workers from the State Emergency Service, medical personnel, and other emergency services are on the scene. Information about the dead and injured is currently being verified.

Local authorities are urging people not to share photos or videos of the aftermath of the attack and to follow official reports.

In some areas of Zaporizhzhia, power outages occurred following the Russian strike. Critical infrastructure facilities are being switched to alternative power sources.

In Balakliya, Kharkiv Oblast, three members of the same family were injured as a result of a Russian drone strike. According to preliminary data, Russian troops used a “Geran-2” UAV.

On August 18, the Russian army killed one resident of the Donetsk region and wounded four others.
