Video: The SBS struck more than 260 energy facilities in the Russian Federation

On August 22, Robert Brovdy, commander of the Unmanned Systems Forces, reported that as part of Operation “Crimean Circuit Breaker Off,” Ukrainian units had disabled 267 of the occupiers’ energy facilities. Between August 17 and 22 alone, 27 power distribution nodes were struck.

 

As part of Operation “Crimean Circuit Breaker Off,” UAS units successfully targeted 27 power facilities in occupied Crimea and southern Ukraine between August 17 and 22 alone.

In total, since the start of this operation—from July 1 through August 22—267 energy infrastructure facilities have been put out of commission.

Among the targets struck were high-voltage substations, gas turbine power plants, and gas distribution stations. Specifically, the following were hit:

  • the 500 kV “Taman” substation in the Krasnodar Krai of the Russian Federation;

  • gas turbine power plants in the towns of Karyerne and Naumivka in Crimea;

  • the 500 kV “Pobeda” and 330 kV “Khartsyzka” substations in the Donetsk region;

  • gas distribution stations in Yevpatoria, Ternivka, Volodymyrivka, and Olenivka;

  • a number of 110 kV substations in Crimea—Koktebel, Malorichenske, Alupka, Gaspra—and in the Donetsk region.

The following units contributed to the successful completion of the missions: the 412th SBS Brigade “Nemesis,” the 413th Operational Battalion of the Special Forces “Raid,” the 414th Special Forces Brigade “Ptakhiy Madyara,” the 427th Special Forces Brigade “Rarog,” the 20th SBS Brigade “K-2,” the “Phoenix” Group of the State Border Guard Service, and the 1st Separate SBS Center.

At the same time, the Unmanned Systems Forces are carrying out Operation “MoLoChKa,” which aims to block the movement of vessels belonging to Russia’s “shadow fleet” in the Sea of Azov, the Kerch Strait, and the northeastern part of the Black Sea.

Throughout August, Ukrainian drones struck 36 vessels. In total, during the operation—from July 6 to August 22—242 enemy vessels were put out of commission, including 134 in the Sea of Azov and 108 in the Black Sea.

In Kryvyi Rih, rescue workers extinguished a massive fire at a shopping center that broke out following a Russian strike. The fire engulfed about 9,000 square meters. Rescuers from seven regions and K-9 units remain on site, clearing debris and searching for people.
 

Overnight, Russian drones attacked a shopping center in the Central District of Kherson. After the strike, a massive fire broke out, engulfing nearly the entire shopping center. The building and the property inside were virtually burned to the ground.

Over the past day, Russian troops attacked settlements in the Zaporizhzhia region 539 times. Three people were killed as a result of the Russian strikes, and another 19 residents of the region were wounded. 

Since the evening, Russian troops have attacked the Dnipropetrovsk region nearly 30 times. Three districts in the region came under fire, with the occupiers using drones and artillery. The attacks damaged houses, cars, and farm buildings, and fires broke out in several locations.
