On the night of July 16, the Ukrainian Defense Forces attacked a number of key targets on Russian territory. Six tankers, two tugboats, an oil depot, bridges, and other facilities used to support the Russian army were struck.
“Six tankers and two tugboats were struck in the Black and Azov Seas. The tankers are used to transport Russian oil and petroleum products in circumvention of international sanctions, as well as to transport fuel for the Russian Armed Forces,” the General Staff stated.
The “Shakhtarsk” oil depot in Shakhtarsk, Donetsk Oblast, was also struck. The extent of the damage and the results of the strike are being assessed.
In addition, a road bridge near Primorsk in Zaporizhzhia Oblast and the “Sivash” railway bridge near Chongar in the temporarily occupied Crimea—which the enemy uses for military logistics—were struck.

An enemy electronic warfare depot in the Novodariivka area of Luhansk Oblast was also struck.
The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported this on Facebook.

On the night of July 12, units of the Ukrainian Defense Forces carried out a series of strikes against key military, economic, and defense facilities of the enemy. In particular, the Syzran Oil Refinery in the Samara Region of the Russian Federation was hit, with explosions and a fire reported at the site. The facility, with a design capacity of 8.5 million metric tons of oil per year, supplies fuel to the occupying forces’ armed forces.
