The relics of Prince Alexander Nevsky have disappeared from the occupied Donetsk region

In the temporarily occupied territory of Donetsk Oblast, Russian military personnel reportedly lost part of the relics of Prince Alexander Nevsky. The relic was being transported for a prayer service due to the fuel crisis in Russia and occupied Crimea, but the convoy came under attack. Russian sources also claim that three Russian military officers were killed as a result of the incident.

Russians Report Loss of Relic

According to the channel’s source, the convoy was attacked by drones along the way.

“Unfortunately, the relic has been completely lost. It’s a good thing that only part of the relics had been brought to the ‘DPR.’ But the loss is enormous. Three officers were killed during the attack,” the report states.

There is currently no other confirmation of this information.

Russia Fears Conflict Between Belousov and Kirill

According to a Russian Telegram channel, the Russian Ministry of Defense fears a conflict between Andrei Belousov and Patriarch Kirill over the loss of the relic.

It is also claimed that this is not the first such incident. According to the source, part of the relics of Matrona of Moscow were allegedly lost last year due to shelling; these, he claims, had also been sent to the front on Belousov’s personal initiative.

“We hope God will not abandon us. But right now the mood is very low, very gloomy. We believe that, no matter what, new relics will arrive at the front,” Russian media quoted the source as saying.

At this time, there is no independent confirmation of the information published by Russian media.

This is being reported by Russian propaganda media.

As a reminder, on the night of July 12, SBU drones sank 14 Russian vessels—10 tankers and 4 ferries. In total, during the week of July 6–12, the SBU’s “Birds” unit took out 90 vessels of the Russian Federation’s shadow fleet.

On the night of July 12, units of the Ukrainian Defense Forces carried out a series of strikes against key military-economic and military targets of the enemy. In particular, the Syzran Oil Refinery in the Samara Region of the Russian Federation was hit, with explosions and a fire reported at the site. The facility, with a design capacity of 8.5 million metric tons of oil per year, supplies fuel to the occupying forces’ armed forces.
