The front repelled 144 enemy attacks over the past 24 hours
Over the past 24 hours, Ukrainian forces repelled 144 combat engagements across the entire front line, where Russian troops continue to launch massive air and ground strikes. The heaviest fighting once again took place in the Pokrovsk direction, which remains one of the enemy’s key targets. The situation on the front remains tense, and the enemy is attempting to wear down the defenses with constant attacks. This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
On April 23, Russian troops intensified combat operations across several sections of the front. A total of 144 combat engagements were recorded over the past 24 hours. The enemy carried out 52 airstrikes, during which it dropped 176 guided bombs. Additionally, 3,139 kamikaze drones were deployed, and the number of artillery and rocket attacks reached 1,936—both Ukrainian military positions and frontline settlements came under fire.
The General Staff notes that the Defense Forces are acting to thwart the Russian army’s offensive plans and gradually deplete its resources. Ukrainian units are holding their defenses and responding to enemy attempts to advance along the entire line of contact.
