The General Staff has updated the figures on Russian losses and reported the elimination of 1,260 invaders
Over the past 24 hours, Ukrainian defenders have killed 1,260 Russian soldiers. This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, which released the latest data on enemy casualties as of June 17, 2026.
As of June 17, Russia has lost the following in the war against Ukraine:
- personnel – approximately 1,386,680 (+1,260);
- tanks – 12,033 (+7);
- armored combat vehicles – 24,775 (+7);
- artillery systems – 44,169 (+51);
- multiple launch rocket systems – 1,874 (+4);
- air defense systems – 1,427 (+0);
- aircraft – 436 (+0) units;
- helicopters – 353 (+0);
- ground-based robotic systems – 1,677 (+10) units;
- operational-tactical UAVs – 355,593 (+2,052) units;
- cruise missiles – 4,783 (+0) units;
- ships/boats – 33 (+0);
- submarines – 2 (+0) units;
- Vehicles and tanker trucks – 107,994 (+486) units;
- special equipment – 4,303 (+3) units.

Earlier, the Armed Forces of Ukraine eliminated a United Russia lawmaker who had gone to fight against Ukraine.
Ukrainian defense forces continue to successfully hold the city of Lyman in Donetsk Oblast, which is strategically important to Russia as a gateway to Sloviansk and Kramatorsk. Thanks to the coordinated actions of units integrated into the Third Army Corps, the situation has been fully stabilized, and the enemy has been pushed significantly further back from the outskirts.
Russian invaders have significantly intensified their offensive operations along the entire front line, engaging in 240 combat clashes with Ukrainian defenders during the 24-hour period of June 7.
